Business Development Manager, IT & Engineering Staffing - NE or SE US (remote)

The company is a fast-growing, innovative staffing and Employer of Record (EOR) services firm delivering high-value workforce solutions across multiple industries. They help clients accelerate their hiring, streamline compliance, and secure top talent in IT, engineering, and specialized technical fields. As they expand through strategic growth and acquisitions, they are seeking an accomplished Business Development Manager to play a key role in driving new client acquisition and market growth. 

The Business Development Manager is a high-impact, client-facing role responsible for generating new business through consistent outbound activity, strategic relationship development, and creative commercial deal shaping. This position requires an outgoing, motivated self-starter with strong business acumen, deep experience in IT and engineering staffing sales, and a passion for building meaningful, long-term client partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

New Client Acquisition & Outbound Sales
  • Drive consistent outbound activity as the primary engine of opportunity creation, including prospecting, cold outreach, networking, and targeted market campaigns.
  • Develop, manage, and convert a strong pipeline of qualified prospects across multiple industries.
  • Leverage an existing network of past clients and relationships to accelerate new revenue opportunities.


Relationship Building & Client Engagement
  • Build authentic, trusted executive-level relationships across client organizations.
  • Identify client needs through discovery and position HKA’s IT and engineering staffing solutions effectively and consultatively.
  • Serve as a long-term strategic partner to clients, focusing on value creation and retention.  May also facilitate hand-off to Account Management team for ongoing support. 


Strategic Thinking & Commercial Creativity
  • Develop creative pricing models, deal structures, and commercial strategies to win competitive opportunities.
  • Partner with leadership to shape go-to-market messaging and growth initiatives.
  • Understand client economics, budget cycles, and business priorities to craft compelling proposals.

Industry & Service Expertise
  • Drive sales across IT staffing, IT project solutions, and engineering staffing services.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of talent markets, bill rate structures, and industry trends.
  • Target accounts within aerospace/defense, automotive, pharmaceutical, financial services, engineering, and other high-growth sectors.


Team Collaboration & Execution
  • Work closely with recruiting, delivery, and leadership teams to ensure successful execution of client engagements.
  • Utilize CRM tools to maintain accurate forecasting, reporting, and activity documentation.
  • Uphold high ethical standards and represent HKA with professionalism and integrity at all times.
