The Opportunity
The Business Development Manager will lead growth initiatives across mechanical and construction sectors, strengthening relationships with general contractors, engineers, and facility owners. This position requires a balance of technical understanding and relationship-driven sales leadership.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute business-development strategies targeting mechanical construction markets.
Identify and pursue new opportunities within HVAC, plumbing, and design-build services.
Build and sustain relationships with contractors, developers, and end-users at decision-making levels.
Collaborate with estimating, operations, and project teams to prepare proposals and bids.
Represent the company at industry associations, conferences, and regional events.
Maintain accurate CRM records, pipeline forecasts, and market intelligence reports.
Provide strategic feedback to leadership regarding trends, opportunities, and competitor activity.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Business, Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline; advanced degree preferred.
Minimum five years of business-development experience within mechanical contracting or construction services.
Proven record of cultivating long-term relationships and delivering measurable revenue growth.
Working knowledge of mechanical systems, project delivery, and construction processes.
Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
