Business Development Manager - North TexasLocation Southeastern USReports to VP Business DevelopmentJob SummaryYates Construction is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive growth in new and existing markets across the Southeastern U.S. This role will create and execute a measurable strategy and sales plan to promote construction services in multiple market sectors. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader and communicator able to leverage company resources to support overall business development goals and willing to travel as needed.The position includes but is not limited to performing the following sales client and business development attributesAuthor a detailed targeted and measurable business development plan. Execute the plan and adjust as necessary as market conditions fluctuate. Support will be provided from the entire Yates business development and marketing teams.Oversee and direct strategy for new business development creation in the power market sector. Track efforts and return on investment against spend and time spent. Cultivation of new business opportunities and strategies as agreed upon with the business development team.Organize and communicate customer relationship management CRM and sales efforts through our AEC360 CRM platform.Research and prioritize potential new business opportunities through market research.Conduct market research to determine the health of the market to stay abreast of industry developments regulatory changes and technological advancements in the power sector positioning the company as a thought leaderAttend and participate in networking organizations and events such as tradeshows conferences etc.Create proposals and presentations with the support of the Vice President of Business Development and marketing teamProvide advice liaison and planning to prospective and current clientsBuild and maintain strong long-term relationships with key clients developers utilities independent power producers IPPs and other stakeholders in the power sector. Act as a trusted advisor understanding their needs and positioning our solutions effectivelyAssist operations and various departments with sales process and final close to meet clients needs and expectationsDemonstrate Yates Core Values and PrinciplesFollow Yates Code of ConductOther related duties as needed and assigned by Management in support of the successful completion of the project.Core CapabilitiesStrong networking communication and listening skills.Ability to mine for information - ask questions and be ready to listen to properly vet and develop capture strategies for your pursuits.Talent to convey companys abilities and unique qualities to fit the needs of your potential clients.Follow-up with potential current and past clients to ensure satisfaction and relationship maintenance.Initiative to learn from and collaborate with other team members across departments.
