The Role We are looking for a Business Development Manager to drive the sales of our functional and nutritional protein systems into the food, beverage, and nutrition markets. This consultative, technical sales role requires close collaboration with R&D, procurement, and innovation teams at leading manufacturers to solve formulation challenges, develop value-added solutions, and secure long-term supply partnerships. Essential Job Duties - Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities for functional and nutritional protein systems across the food, beverage, and nutrition markets.
- Build, manage, and advance a sales pipeline from prospecting through commercialization and ongoing account growth.
- Partner with customers' R&D, procurement, and innovation teams to address formulation challenges and deliver value-added ingredient solutions.
- Collaborate with our internal technical, operations, and supply chain teams to evaluate and execute new product development opportunities.
- Lead pricing discussions and negotiate supply agreements, commercial terms, and volume commitments.
- Represent AMCO Proteins at industry trade shows, conferences, and customer events.
- Monitor and communicate market intelligence related to ingredient pricing, competitive activity, industry trends, and emerging application opportunities.
- Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key decision-makers to drive long-term customer partnerships and sustainable business growth.
