As a Business Development Manager - North America Commercial Refrigeration at Solstice, you will position Solstice refrigerant solutions as a strategic partner of choice for leading food retailers, food service operators, cold-chain and logistics providers, warehouse operators, and refrigeration OEMs. This is not a sales role. It is a relationship-driven, market-shaping position focused on influencing long-term industry direction and aligning Solstice's portfolio with real customer needs.

You will serve as Solstice's primary commercial ambassador across North America, building trusted relationships across the value chain-from technicians and facility operators to executive leadership-and connecting operational realities with strategic decision-making.

In this role, you will directly impact:

  • Development of executive relationships across key industry players
  • Inclusion of Solstice solutions in retailer and OEM long-term roadmaps
  • Growth of project pipeline and future demand generation
  • Long-term regional commercial refrigeration growth strategy

You will report directly to our Sr Global Business Manager of Commercial Refrigeration, and you will work out of a remote location with ~50% travel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain high-trust relationships with senior stakeholders across retailers, food service, cold chain, logistics, and warehouse operators
  • Engage across all organizational levels, from technicians and facility managers to executive leadership, to understand operational challenges and strategic priorities
  • Influence customer strategy by articulating value around refrigerant transition, sustainability, operational complexity, and total cost of ownership
  • Act as a connector across the ecosystem (food retailers, OEMs, contractors, partners) to accelerate adoption of Solstice solutions
  • Identify emerging market trends, regulatory shifts, and customer needs, acting as the voice of the market to internal stakeholders
  • Partner with strategic marketing, R&D, sales, and technical teams to translate market insight into actionable strategies
  • Support embedding Solstice solutions into customer and OEM roadmaps and long-term planning
  • Build and grow a project pipeline through end-user engagement and industry collaboration
  • Represent Solstice in industry associations, trade events, and working groups to drive visibility and thought leadership

YOU MUST HAVE:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 10+ years of experience in the HVACR industry
  • Established network across retailers, cold chain/logistics operators, contractors, and/or refrigeration OEMs
  • Strong ability to engage with both technical and executive stakeholders
  • Solid understanding of refrigeration systems, market dynamics, and customer operating environments
  • Ability to translate operational realities into strategic discussions and value-based conversations
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Willingness and ability to travel (~50%)

WE VALUE:

  • Experience working at a food retailer, contractor, or refrigeration engineer
  • Technical background in Mechanical Engineering
  • Strong financial acumen, including understanding of CapEx, OpEx, ROI, and TCO
  • Familiarity with sustainability-driven decision frameworks and regulatory environments
  • Experience influencing customer strategy and long-term decision making
  • Experience working in global, cross-functional organizations
  • Proven ability to shape market direction and influence ecosystem stakeholders

COMPENSATION

The annual base salary range for this position is $131,895K - $189,304K. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Solstice Advanced Materials considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities or the position, the candidate''s work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.

This position is incentive eligible.
