Business Development Manager – Renewables

Spark Power, a trusted partner in energy in North America, is looking for a Business Development Manager – Renewables to join our team. As a Business Development Manager on the Renewables team, you will play a pivotal role in growing Spark's US and Canadian-based Wind operations through strengthening current customer relationships and crafting strategies to expand Spark's exposure in the North American wind market.

What will do you as a Business Development Manager - Renewables

• Lead the sales efforts for transactional maintenance campaigns as well as long-term service agreements in support of US and Canada wind teams.
• Identify strategic customer accounts/prospects and develop annual sales account plans.
• Collaborate with operational leaders to uncover the most attractive entry points for current offerings while analyzing market needs and competitive dynamics for expanding offerings.
• Represent Spark Power Renewables at industry conferences and in customer meetings (both remote and in-person)
• Attack opportunities for proposals (formal RFPs, in-formal discussions, etc) focusing on how we can provide value to the customer given their specific goals (not simply bid requirements)
• Work with internal Business Analyst to refine cost models based on project needs, technical constraints, and commercial goals.

Do you have the Spark? Here's what we're looking for:

• Established track record with at least five years in roles related to sales or business development, ideally within the renewable energy sector (wind preferable).
• Strong understanding of the renewable energy market and a willingness to invest in understanding the dynamics of our customer's business.
• Accountability. Spark needs someone who will follow through and proactively push for solutions, not pause when they meet an obstacle.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time to meet with customers and attend industry events
• Advanced presenting skills with the ability to clearly communicate a value proposition to key stakeholders
• Negotiation experience, including the capacity to dig for mutually beneficial, creative solutions.
• Bachelor's degree in relevant educational background.
