Compensation: $100k-120k annual base + commissions

The Role
The Business Development Manager – Screens is a sales role responsible for identifying, pursuing, and closing new customer opportunities to drive growth of the Screens product line. This position is primarily focused on new customer acquisition and early-stage customer development, with an emphasis on in-person engagement, discovery, and product demonstrations. Reporting to the Sales Team Leader, the Business Development Manager operates remotely on the U.S. West Coast and spends significant time in the field meeting with prospective customers. The role requires frequent travel and close collaboration with internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, prospect, and close new customer opportunities for the Screens product line, with a primary focus on new customer acquisition.
- Actively generate pipeline through outbound prospecting, in-person customer visits, events, trade shows, and partner engagement.
- Conduct discovery to understand buyer and end-user needs, workflows, and technical requirements.
- Deliver compelling on-site and virtual product demonstrations tailored to customer use cases.
- Manage opportunities through qualification, proposal, negotiation, and close.
- Maintain accurate CRM records, pipeline visibility, and next-step discipline.
- Collaborate with the Sales Team Leader and internal teams on deal strategy, and pricing.
- Represent the company professionally in the field as the first point of contact for prospective customers.
- Travel regularly (approximately 50%) to support customer engagement and business development.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, sales, or a related field preferred.
- 3–5 years of experience in B2B sales or business development, with a strong emphasis on new customer acquisition, preferred.
- Experience in using or selling technology, AV, media, or adjacent technical solutions preferred.
- Proficiency with CRM systems and standard sales productivity tools preferred.
- Experience working remotely and managing a geographically dispersed territory preferred.
- Strong hunter mindset with capabilities in business development and customer prospecting.
- Ability to quickly understand customer needs and translate them into clear, value-based solutions.
- Confidence presenting and demonstrating products to buyers, consultants, and end users.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including in-person relationship building.
- Ability to manage a high level of activity, travel, and follow-up independently.
- Solid understanding of sales process, opportunity qualification, and pipeline management preferred.
- Comfortable working cross-functionally with sales leadership, product, and operations teams.
- Willingness and ability to travel frequently (approximately 50%).
- Willingness to spend the majority of the first three months at our Alpharetta, GA office.
