If you're ready for your work to matter, we're ready to hear from you!We're currently growing our team of Artisans with a Business Development Manager to support our wholly owned subsidiary, BioChem Systems. This role drives national growth of BioChem's industrial cleaning and solvent replacement solutions. This role focuses on industrial and commercial customers across the region, excluding direct refinery operations.Approximately 60 percent of effort is centered on new customer acquisition and 40 percent on expanding existing named accounts. The sales cycle is short and transactional, often ranging from days to a few weeks, and frequently includes on-site demonstrations and plant trials.We win business by proving our solutions outperform existing chemical programs through real-world demonstrations and results. This role requires a disciplined, high-activity approach to prospecting, follow-up, and opportunity advancement. This role is designed for professionals who want their earnings aligned with their results.Duties & ResponsibilitiesProactively identify, pursue, and close new industrial customers across a defined national territoryLead on-site product demonstrations and performance trials that convert prospects into customersReplace incumbent chemical programs by clearly articulating measurable valueDevelop and execute structured national account plansMaintain and grow named accounts through problem solving and upsellingExecute within an established sales process and CRM structureWork closely with BioChem leadership and RTI technical support, including engineering and chemistry resourcesSupervisory ResponsibilitiesNoneMinimum Qualifications3 to 6 years of industrial service, industrial cleaning, field-based industrial sales, or related industrial experienceDemonstrated history of meeting or exceeding sales targets in an industrial environmentProven record of generating new business growth, not solely maintaining existing accountsExperience working in or selling into industrial environments such as manufacturing facilities, heavy industry, rail, plant operations, or commercial service settingsComfortable operating in field environments and engaging directly with plant-level decision makersAbility to prospect independently and maintain consistent outbound activityExperience conducting in-person sales meetings, site visits, product demonstrations, or field evaluationsAbility to overcome incumbent supplier relationships and close short-cycle opportunitiesStrong communication skills with the ability to handle objections and advance opportunitiesHigh level of integrity, urgency, and personal accountabilityValid driver's license and ability to travel nationallyPreferred QualificationsBachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Chemistry, Industrial Technology, or related field, or equivalent combination of industrial experience and trainingBackground specifically in industrial service or industrial cleaningExperience working within a defined sales process and CRMTWIC CardWorking Conditions / Physical DemandsWork is executed both in an office setting and in the field. Work in the field will require entry to various industrial facilities and may require carrying equipment and materials (up to 40 pounds), climbing stairs and ladders, and working in inclement weather.PPE is required in many field settings and may include FR clothing, hearing / eye protection, work boots, hard hats, and gas monitors. BioChem will provide all needed PPE and safety training required for field work.Office / administrative work can be performed at the Support Center, in the field, or at home. BioChem will provide all needed equipment and supplies (including laptop, monitors, office supplies, etc).Travel RequirementsThis position is estimated to require approximately 6-8 overnight trips per month (80+ annually). Most travel will support business development activities, customer meetings, product demonstrations, and plant trials.
