Business Development Manager
Location: Based in Rockland County, NY, with networking and business development activities throughout the Lower Hudson Valley and Northern New Jersey.

Builders Mark General Contracting is a renovation and general contracting company serving residential and light commercial clients throughout New York and surrounding areas. From kitchens and bathrooms to whole-home renovations, additions, flooring, tile, and custom projects, we take pride in delivering quality work with honest communication and practical solutions.
We are looking for a Business Development Manager to help grow our network, build relationships, and create new opportunities for the company. This is not a high-pressure sales role. It is a relationship-focused position for someone who can connect with architects, designers, real estate professionals, property owners, subcontractors, and other local partners to help generate quality leads and long-term business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain relationships with architects, designers, real estate professionals, property managers, subcontractors, and other referral partners.
- Identify new business opportunities in residential renovations, light commercial work, additions, and specialty projects.
- Attend networking events, local industry events, and meetings to represent the company professionally.
- Help develop a lead generation strategy and track new opportunities.
- Coordinate with ownership to qualify leads and prepare next steps.
- Maintain organized records of contacts, conversations, follow-ups, and potential projects.
- Help position Builders Mark as a trusted renovation partner in the local market.
Qualifications
- Experience in business development, relationship management, sales, construction, real estate, architecture, design, or home services.
- Strong communication and follow-up skills.
- Comfortable networking, making introductions, and building long-term professional relationships.
- Organized and able to track contacts, leads, and next steps.
- Self-motivated, professional, and confident speaking with clients and industry partners.
- Knowledge of residential construction or remodeling is a strong plus.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required for local meetings and events.
- Spanish/English fluency a big plus.
Pay and Benefits
- Full-Time, W-2 Employment
- Compensation for this role is open for discussion and may include base plus commission, commission-based pay, retainer plus commission, or another performance-based structure.
- Candidates should be prepared to discuss how they prefer to be paid and how they would approach lead generation, referral partnerships, architect/designer relationships, and building a consistent pipeline of new business.
