Business Development Manager - Global Projects & Engineering

As Business Development Manager - Global Projects & Engineering for Shaw Projects & Modules, you'll drive growth by identifying, qualifying, and securing Engineering, EPF, and EPC opportunities while building strategic partnerships that strengthen Shaw's market presence.

What You'll Do

Build and deepen relationships with facility operators, technology licensors, project developers, and major EPC firms. Source and develop new business via networking, prospecting, client meetings, trade events, and industry associations. Represent Shaw at conferences, customer visits, and promotional events to elevate brand visibility. Collaborate with Head of Sales and Strategic Account Managers to qualify Engineering, EPF, and EPC opportunities aligned to strategy. Lead early vetting of potential projects and ensure pre-contract governance compliance. Maintain accurate pipeline visibility and reporting in CRM (Zoho or equivalent). Coordinate with operations and project execution teams to align scopes with technical capabilities and schedules. Support proposal documentation, commercial exhibits, and milestone payment schedules.

What You'll Bring

Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience). 5-6 years in business development/sales/commercial roles within Engineering/EPC sectors. Strong communication/presentation skills; comfort engaging at all organizational levels. Understanding of project phases, EPC structures, contract terms, and risk management. Proficiency with CRM (Zoho) and Microsoft Office; PowerPoint for client presentations. Outgoing relationship-builder; collaborative and persistent. Nice-to-have: Plant operations experience; connections in EPC; basics of chemical processes.
