PositionBusiness Development Manager – Training and TechnologyReportingReports to Director of Marketing.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement strategies for new business opportunities for integrating technology with industrial cranes.Build and maintain strong relationships with service business distributors.Monitor and analyze market trends, competitors, and customer feedback.Coordinate with multiple stakeholders, teams, and customers to find opportunities to grow business and develop industry technology integration and acceptance.Quarterly reporting for each sales territory on digital services usage, remote data access subscription targets, and advanced app feature subscription targets.Achieve annual revenue targets through training sales, fieldbus new equipment hardware sales, subscription-based sales of remote data services and advanced app features, and strategic partnerships.Conduct product presentations, demos, and technical consultations for customers and prospects.Respond to RFPs, bids, and large‑scale project opportunities involving rigging and lifting solutions.Provide training to distributors and end users on fieldbus hardware and related software and app product features, systems, data integration and best practices.Develop a training strategy that engages all learning channels, including live training, on‑demand training, self‑paced learning, and system‑based learning for internal employees and customers.Manage and develop a distributor‑focused training program and content, creating modular training usable across learning channels and for multiple audiences.Manage and maintain training budget and purchases for R&M and Demag US brands.Develop meaningful technical content for distributor partners and support employees in delivering this message to improve customer experience.QualificationsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.Strong negotiation and persuasive skills.Ability to think creatively and outside the box.Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Strong organizational and time‑management skills.Resiliency and ability to adapt quickly.Ability to participate within a multi‑disciplinary team as well as act autonomously.Strong strategic skills, emphasizing measurement of ROI and sales impacts.EducationBachelor's degree in communications, engineering, sales, or equivalent required.Experience3–7 years of experience in business development, sales, technical content development or application engineering. Must have strong electrical knowledge, well‑developed PC skills, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
