The Opportunity

We are looking for a relentless Business Development Manager (BDM) with a true "Hunter" mentality to drive growth in the DuPage County market.

In this role, you won't just be selling distinct job orders; you will be selling a partnership. You will identify high-volume users of light industrial and clerical labor, consult with C-level executives on workforce strategies, and secure profitable contracts that allow our recruiting teams to change lives.

What You Will Do

  • Hunt & Prospect: Execute a high-volume activity strategy including cold calling, networking, and door-to-door canvas visits to build a robust sales pipeline.
  • Consultative Selling: Analyze client needs to propose tailored workforce solutions, moving beyond transactional selling to build strategic partnerships.
  • Negotiate & Close: Manage the full sales lifecycle from discovery to signed MSA. You will be responsible for negotiating bill rates, markups, and gross margins to ensure profitability.
  • Territory Management: Own your market. You will map out the local landscape, identifying key targets in manufacturing, logistics, and distribution.
  • Collaborate: Work closely with the local Branch Manager and Recruiting team to ensure we can deliver top talent for the accounts you close.
Skills and Experience

What We Are Looking For
  • B2B Sales Experience: 2+ years of outside sales experience with a proven track record of hitting quotas.
  • Staffing Industry Knowledge: Experience in the staffing industry (understanding contingent labor, VMS, and pricing models) is highly preferred.
  • The "Grit" Factor: You are resilient, self-motivated, and not afraid of hearing "no." You view rejection as just another step toward a "yes."
  • Financial Acumen: You understand the math behind the deal-how to calculate markup, margin, and ROI for the client.
