Business Development Manager Weymouth Mass

We are a leading manufacturer of switching, monitoring, and control solutions for the power industry, serving utility, industrial, and defense markets worldwide. We are seeking a driven and strategic Business Development Representative/Manager to help expand our market presence and drive revenue growth across domestic and international markets.

Reporting to the Director of Sales, this role is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing sales channels, and building strong customer relationships within the power generation and distribution industries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within utility, industrial power, data center, transportation, and power generation markets
  • Expand and strengthen sales channels in both existing and emerging markets
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans aligned with company growth objectives
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, consultants, distributors, and industry partners
  • Manage sales opportunities and coordinate internal resources to support successful project execution
  • Represent the company at customer meetings, industry events, and trade shows
  • Travel extensively to support business development initiatives and customer engagement
  • Support additional sales and organizational initiatives as needed

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Business, or related field preferred
  • 5 7+ years of sales and business development experience within the utility or power industry
  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to communicate effectively with engineering and technical teams
  • Experience with utility electrical power systems and related components highly preferred
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and strategic sales skills
  • Familiarity with quality systems, ISO standards, CRM/ERP systems, and sales reporting tools preferred

Work Environment:
Primarily office-based with travel requirements of approximately 50%. Must be able to sit, stand, and occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.
