About Us

Blue Lion Security Group is an early-stage security company specializing in intrusion detection and alarm systems for commercial and residential clients. We're building something from the ground up — and we need someone with a founder's mentality to help us do it.

About the Role

This isn't a corporate job with a tidy checklist. We need a hustler — someone who can find clients, close deals, build partnerships, and figure out how to scale a security business from a small operation into a serious company. You'll own the commercial side of the business while helping shape strategy, operations, and brand. If you've ever wanted to run a business without the personal financial risk of starting one from scratch, this is that opportunity.

What You'll Do

Business Development & Sales

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities across commercial, residential, and property management markets

  • Help finalize a repeatable sales process from prospecting through close, including outbound outreach, referral networks, and local partnerships

  • Develop relationships with general contractors, property managers, real estate developers, and facility managers who need ongoing security solutions

  • Own the sales pipeline — generate leads, run consultations, prepare proposals, negotiate contracts, and close deals

  • Represent the company at trade shows, networking events, and industry associations

Partnerships & Market Expansion

  • Manage existing relationships with monitoring stations, equipment distributors, and technology vendors

  • Identify strategic partnerships that expand service offerings or open new markets (smart home integrators, IT providers, insurance companies)

  • Research and evaluate new verticals, geographies, and customer segments for expansion

  • Keep a pulse on competitors — what they charge, how they position, where they fall short

Operations & Strategy

  • Help build the operational backbone of the company: pricing models, service agreements, recurring revenue structures, and customer lifecycle processes

  • Contribute to financial planning — forecasting, margins, cash flow management, and growth targets

  • Help develop and refine the company's brand positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategy

  • Hire, manage, and coordinate subcontractors or technicians as project volume grows

  • Help set up systems and processes that scale — CRM, scheduling, invoicing, inventory, and project tracking

Customer Experience

  • Own the client relationship from first contact through ongoing service

  • Build a referral engine by delivering an exceptional customer experience

  • Develop service plans, maintenance agreements, and upsell strategies that drive recurring revenue

  • Handle escalations and ensure client retention

Who You Are

  • An entrepreneurial self-starter who takes ownership and figures things out without being told what to do

  • Proven ability to sell — whether that's in security, construction, technology, or another B2B services industry

  • Comfortable building from zero: you've either started something yourself, been an early employee at a startup, or turned around an underperforming business unit

  • Strong business acumen — you understand margins, cash flow, customer acquisition cost, and lifetime value

  • Excellent at building relationships and earning trust quickly, both with clients and partners

  • Organized enough to manage multiple deals, projects, and priorities without dropping the ball

  • Not afraid to knock on doors, make cold calls, and do whatever it takes to generate business

  • Interested in the security industry and motivated by building something that keeps people and property safe

Nice to Have

  • Experience in the security, alarm, low-voltage, or fire/life safety industry

  • Existing network of contractors, property managers, or commercial real estate contacts

  • Familiarity with recurring revenue and service-based business models

  • Experience with CRM tools (HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar)

  • Background in franchise operations, home services, or field services businesses

  • State-level alarm or contractor licensing (or willingness to obtain)

What We Offer

  • A true co-builder role with real ownership over the growth of the company

  • Equity stake or profit-sharing tied to company performance

  • Uncapped commission structure on top of base compensation

  • The autonomy to run your side of the business the way you see fit

  • A founding team that values initiative, grit, and results over credentials and process

Details

  • Type: Full-time

  • Location: DC/MD/VA

  • Compensation: Base + commission + equity/profit-sharing

  • Reports to: Founder / CEO

  • Start Date: 6/1/2026
