General Responsibilities:
The Sales Associate or Business Development Rep will report to the Vice President of Sales and Marketing. The primary responsibilities include identifying, qualifying, and closing new business opportunities in the field, while maintaining and expanding relationships with existing clients. This role requires regular travel within an assigned territory to conduct in-person meetings, product presentations, and consultations. Success in this role hinges on strong communication skills, self-motivation, and a results-driven mindset.
Pay: $70,000 - $75,000 per year
Specific Duties / Essential Functions:
- Develop and manage sales territory by identifying and targeting prospective customers.
- Conduct in-person client visits to establish relationships, present solutions, and close deals.
- Responsible for cold calling and networking with potential, new and current clients.
- Deliver engaging sales presentations and product demonstrations tailored to client needs.
- Maintain and grow existing accounts through regular follow-ups and superior customer service.
- Track activities, leads, opportunities, and customer interactions using the CRM system.
- Collaborate with internal sales, marketing, and product teams to align strategy and goals.
- Attend industry trade shows, networking events, and conferences as a company representative.
- Consistently meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales quotas.
- Adhere to performance metrics including: territory revenue growth, lead conversion rate, sales pipeline health, closing ratio, on-site visits & client meetings, CRM activity & responsiveness, customer satisfaction & retention.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Skills & Experience:
- 2 years of sales experience is required.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is preferred ; high school diploma or equivalent required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to:
- Ability to walk for extended periods across multiple job sites
- Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs.
- Ability to bend, reach, stand, and walk for extended periods.
- Repetitive use of hands, wrists, arms, and legs, including climbing stairs, use of ladders and keeling or squatting.

Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, etc.
Supervisory Responsibility: This position does not have supervisory responsibility.
Travel: Travel is primarily local, although some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected.
