About FarmshareIndependent meat is better. It should win. Four companies control 85% of U.S. beef processing, not because they produce better meat, but because they out-coordinate everyone else. Farmshare is building the coordination layer for the other side: the operating system independents run their plants on, the intelligence that turns their data into decisions, and the network that lets them sell into markets the Big Four used to control. Many small plants, one network. Thousands of independent processors, operating with the coordination and intelligence the Big Four spent fifty years building, without any one of them needing to become a Big Four packer. The roleYou're the top of our sales funnel. You'll build pipeline by reaching out to independent processors across the country, starting the conversation, and booking qualified demos for our closers. This is a build role, not a maintenance one. You own the motion from the ground up.You'll open with the two things that hook a processor: we help them run the plant without the chaos (digital cut sheets, scheduling, and automatic customer notifications in place of paper and phone tag), and we help them grow their business (bringing buyers and producers to their door). Read the prospect, lead with whichever lands, then bring the full platform into the conversation. What you'll doRun outbound (calls, email, text) to processors and consistently book qualified demos, a handful a week once you're rampedRead each prospect and lead with the value prop that fits, then qualify for fit before you bookKeep HubSpot clean: every lead sourced, tagged, and tracked so we can measure what worksSit close to the closer and learn the full sales cycle (this role grows toward AE)Bring the field back to us: objections, patterns, what's landing and what isn'tWhat you bring0–2 years in a sales, BDR/SDR, or high-volume outreach role (recruiting counts, that's where our best closer came from)Thick skin, high activity, and genuine persistence; you're comfortable with the phoneYou can talk to a fourth-generation plant owner like a neighbor, not a software vendorOrganized and coachable; you do what you say you'll doNice to haveAny exposure to agriculture, meat processing, or rural/blue-collar businesses - or just a genuine interest in them! Why it's a good seatYou'll get real ownership on day one, direct mentorship from the founder and senior sales team, and a clear path to AE.
