Farmers Insurance - District 22/25 is looking for a motivated and dynamic individual to join our team as a Business Development Representative to work out of one of our thriving agencies. Ready to transfer your sales experience into business ownership? We provide a unique, structured 12-month Agency Ownership Mentorship Program designed for driven individuals who want to learn exactly what it takes to successfully run a business before launching one of their own.

Working directly alongside an experienced mentor agent, you will gain hands-on experience in agency operations, marketing, sales pipeline management, and team leadership. This role is specifically designed as an active stepping stone for future entrepreneurs.

Responsibilities

  • Generate new business through outbound prospecting, networking, and community engagement
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships to drive retention and referrals
  • Assess customer needs and recommend appropriate insurance products and coverage options
  • Follow up on leads quickly and consistently to move prospects through the sales pipeline
  • Prepare quotes, present solutions, and close sales to meet production goals

Requirements
  • Active or ability to obtain Property & Casualty and Life & Health licenses (fully-paid by Farmers)
  • Proficiency in Communication and excellent Customer Service skills
  • Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a hybrid environment
  • Prior experience in the insurance industry is an advantage but not mandatory
