Business Development Representative (BDR)
Location: Greer, SC

Reports To: VP Sales & Commercial Development
Position Overview
The Business Development Representative (BDR) is responsible for driving new business opportunities, supporting customer acquisition, and accelerating growth initiatives. This role works cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain and Product Management to identify prospects, respond to RFQs, and support new product launches.
The ideal candidate is highly motivated, results-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, growth-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
New Business Development
- Support efforts to expand business with new and existing customers
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Product Management on growth opportunities
Customer Engagement & Pipeline Support
- Engage with customers to understand requirements and identify opportunities
- Maintain and track sales pipeline activity (CRM utilization)
- Coordinate follow-ups and ensure timely communication
RFQ & Quoting Support
- Conduct initial review of customer RFQs
- Identify required data and coordinate with internal stakeholders for pricing and technical input
- Assist in preparing and submitting RFQs and proposals
- Maintain ongoing customer communication regarding RFQ status
New Product Launch Support
- Support new product release programs and customer adoption initiatives
- Communicate project and launch status internally and externally
- Help identify and resolve bottlenecks to ensure timely execution
Market & Customer Intelligence
- Gather feedback on customer needs and market trends
- Support product and marketing teams with insights for portfolio expansion

Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field
- 1-5 years of experience in sales, business development, or customer-facing roles
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal) across all levels of an organization
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
- Proficient in MS Office Suite
Preferred
- Experience in manufacturing, filtration, or industrial sectors
- Familiarity with RFQ processes and technical sales environments
- CRM experience (Salesforce or similar)
