Roxtec is seeking a Business Development Representative to drive growth across the Northeastern U.S. , focusing on industrial automation, heavy equipment, power systems, mission‑critical infrastructure, generator set manufacturers, OEMs, and industrial engineering markets .In this role, you'll leverage your engineering knowledge and business development expertise to identify opportunities, influence key decision‑makers, and position Roxtec's industry‑leading cable and pipe sealing solutions within critical industrial applications. You'll work directly with OEMs, manufacturers, engineers, system integrators, and end users to expand market share and drive long‑term growth.If you're energized by technical selling, solving complex customer challenges, and building a strong presence in industrial and power markets , we want to hear from you.Essential Job FunctionsIdentify growth markets, research business requirements, and develop and execute a comprehensive strategic plan to capture market share with newly identified and existing customersOrganize and execute a multi‑faceted sales plan to effectively make direct contact with prospectsBuild effective and collaborative relationships with key decision‑makers within the prospective organizationsWork with national marketing resources to develop effective, targeted go‑to‑market plans for different sub‑segmentsIn partnership with marketing, execute events and other outreach campaigns in order to identify and engage targets, and build the Roxtec brand in the marketplaceUnderstand the short‑ and long‑term needs and challenges of prospective accounts and how Roxtec's solutions can address those issuesParticipate with a team of peers, and other sales and marketing professionals in the pursuit process that moves prospects through all stages of the sales processDevelop and negotiate competitive pricing strategiesEffectively manage all opportunities to ensure they are properly pushed through the sales pipelineCollaborate with leadership to develop business development targets, goals and strategiesEstablish strong networking relationships with key decision makers at multiple levels of the customers, industry organizations, and key business partnersServe as a consultant to leaders, project participants, and customersBuild a sales pipeline sufficient to capture annual top line growth targetDevelop and maintain awareness of trends within the industry, attending sales, trade, and product learning meetingsDefine sales potential, prepare budgets, maintain sales tracking and other required administrative reportingProvide technical presentations and product installation training to a wide range of audiencesUtilize CRM software as the primary tool to manage day‑to‑day sales activities (including pre‑call plans, detailed contact management, quotations, communications/email tracking, project management, etc.)Work cooperatively with peers and other internal departments, keeping key individuals informed to assure positive customer relations are maintainedMaintain awareness of Roxtec's internal policy and the Roxtec Core Values in regard to the daily workRequirementsMust be willing to travel domestically and internationally up to 60%Knowledgeable and proficient in the Microsoft Suite of products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)Adhere to the principles of Value Added Selling and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) StrategiesProficient in time and travel managementPossess strong negotiation and presentation skillsExceptional experience leading complex sales processes that involve multiple team members and decision makersStrong communication, presentation, analytical and organizational skillsExperience and involvement with industry associations and/or non‑profit groups is preferredAbility to work independently and within a team environmentEducation and ExperienceBachelor's degree in business or related field or comparable work experience3 years of experience in B2B sales; technical and/or project sales preferredPhysical RequirementsRequired to wear PPE as neededThis is designated as a safety sensitive positionPhysical DemandsStand—FrequentlyWalk—FrequentlySit—ContinuouslyClimb—N/ACrawl—N/ASquat or Kneel—OccasionallyBen—OccasionallyFine Manipulation—OccasionallyReach Outward—OccasionallyReach Above Shoulder—OccasionallyWork in confined spaces—OccasionallyTravel by car, air, or other means of public transportation—FrequentlyLift /Carry 10 lbs or less—Occasionally11‑20 lbs—Occasionally21‑50 lbs—OccasionallyPush / Pull 10 lbs or less—Occasionally10‑20 lbs—Occasionally20‑50 lbs—OccasionallyNOTE: This job description is not intended to be all‑inclusive.
