You'll work closely with our experienced sales team to generate qualified leads, book meetings for Account Executives, and contribute directly to gWorks' growth. This is a high-impact role for a driven, curious individual who wants real sales experience — not coffee runs.What You'll DoProspecting & OutreachResearch and identify prospective municipal, county, and township accounts across assigned territoriesExecute high-volume outbound outreach via phone, and email follow up to engage government decision-makersPersonalize messaging based on account research, pain points, and current events in local governmentFollow up on inbound leads and marketing-sourced contacts in a timely and professional mannerPipeline DevelopmentQualify prospects using criteria established by the Sales Development ManagerSchedule discovery calls and product demonstrations for Account ExecutivesMaintain accurate and up-to-date records of all prospect interactions in Salesforce CRMTrack and report on weekly activity metrics and pipeline progressCollaboration & LearningParticipate in team standups, weekly training sessions, and sales team meetingsShadow Account Executive calls and client meetings to build product and process knowledgeCollaborate with the Marketing team to align outbound messaging with campaignsContinuously refine outreach sequences based on performance data and coaching feedbackWhat We're Looking ForRequired QualificationsCurrently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Political Science or a related fieldStrong written and verbal communication skills with professional presenceSelf-motivated with a high-energy, goal-oriented mindsetAbility to handle rejection with resilience and maintain consistent effortOrganized with excellent time management and attention to detailGenuine curiosity about technology, government, and how the two intersectPreferred QualificationsPrevious experience in sales, customer service, or a client-facing role (internship or part-time)Familiarity with CRM tools (Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar)Experience with outreach tools such as Outreach.io, Salesloft, or ZoomInfoKnowledge of or interest in local government, public administration, or civic technologyDemonstrated leadership or involvement in campus organizationsCompensation & BenefitsHourly Rate: $15.00 per hour, Monday - Thursday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. CTPerformance Bonus: Eligible for bonus tied to meetings booked and qualified pipelineLocation: Omaha, NE officeProfessional Development: Access to sales training platforms and gWorks enablement resourcesNetworking: Invitations to team events, lunch-and-learns, and company all-handsPath to FTE: Top performers considered for full-time BDR offers post-internshipWork EnvironmentgWorks is a collaborative, mission-driven company where your work directly contributes to making government better for millions of people.
