Job Summary:

The Business Development Representative is responsible for driving pipeline growth and revenue generation across Konnect’s HR Services and KonnectAi offerings. This role owns the full sales cycle, from prospecting and generating new business opportunities to conducting discovery conversations, presenting solutions, negotiating, and closing deals. The ideal candidate is an experienced B2B sales professional who can independently build a pipeline, develop referral partnerships, and convert prospects into long-term clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Generate new business opportunities through outbound prospecting, cold calling, targeted email outreach, networking, and relationship-building efforts.
• Identify and engage prospective clients within target markets, including hospitality, healthcare, retail, nonprofit, and other growth-focused organizations.
• Own the full sales cycle, from initial outreach and lead qualification through discovery, solution presentation, negotiation, and closing.
• Build and maintain referral partnerships with brokers, CPAs, attorneys, business advisors, and other strategic partners.
• Conduct discovery conversations to understand client needs and qualify opportunities for Konnect’s HR Services, KonnectAi platform, or combined solutions.
• Present Konnect’s offerings and communicate their value in addressing prospective clients’ business challenges.
• Collaborate with Sales, Sales Engineering, and Leadership to support client acquisition and ensure solutions align with client needs.
• Maintain accurate CRM records in HubSpot, manage pipeline activity, and track sales performance against business development goals.
• Share insights from prospect conversations to improve outreach strategies, sales messaging, and market positioning.
• Consistently work toward sales and revenue goals while contributing to Konnect’s continued growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of B2B sales or business development experience, including ownership of the full sales cycle from prospecting through closing.
• Experience with BDR prospecting activities, including cold calling, email outreach, lead generation, and pipeline development.
• Experience selling services preferred, ideally in HR services, consulting, or other B2B solutions.
• Experience using HubSpot CRM to manage sales activities, track opportunities, and maintain pipeline records.
• Strong communication, relationship-building, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Demonstrated ability to independently generate leads, build relationships, and close new business.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred.

• Base Salary: $75,000 OTE: $145,000 annually (uncapped commission)

Working Conditions

This is primarily a sedentary role performed in an office or home-office environment. The position requires prolonged use of a computer and standard office equipment.
