Community Business Development Officer
Location: Manchester–Londonderry, New Hampshire Area
Schedule: Full-Time | Territory-Based Position
Reports To: Vice President of Business Development

 

About the Role
A respected community banking organization in Southern New Hampshire is seeking a motivated professional to help expand its presence throughout the local market. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys connecting with people, building business relationships, and identifying opportunities to help individuals and organizations achieve their financial goals.


The successful candidate will serve as a visible representative in the community, developing new relationships while supporting long-term growth initiatives across both deposit and lending services.

 

Primary Responsibilities
Market Growth & Prospecting

  • Develop new business opportunities through networking, referrals, and proactive outreach efforts
  • Identify potential clients who may benefit from business banking and lending solutions
  • Build and manage a consistent pipeline of prospects and referral sources
  • Participate in local events, professional associations, and community activities to increase brand awareness

Relationship Development

  • Establish strong relationships with business owners, community leaders, and local organizations
  • Meet with prospective clients to better understand their banking and financing needs
  • Provide a consultative approach focused on long-term value and service
  • Maintain regular communication with clients and referral partners

Client Experience & Support

  • Assist new clients during account onboarding and relationship setup
  • Coordinate with internal departments to ensure timely and effective service delivery
  • Act as a resource for clients seeking guidance on available banking products and services
  • Help strengthen customer loyalty through responsive follow-up and relationship management

Reporting & Compliance

  • Maintain accurate records of business development activities and client interactions
  • Monitor progress toward growth objectives and pipeline targets
  • Support strategic initiatives designed to increase market penetration
  • Adhere to company policies and applicable banking regulations

Qualifications
Ideal candidates will possess:

  • Previous experience in business development, sales, account management, or customer-facing roles
  • Strong networking and relationship-building abilities
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Experience within banking, lending, financial services, or a related industry is highly desirable
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Working knowledge of deposit products, commercial lending, or financial solutions is a plus
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
