Business Development Representative

We're looking for a driven, competitive Business Development Representative to help expand our customer base and drive revenue growth. This is not an order-taking role. You'll leverage construction industry databases, CRM tools, and proactive outreach to identify opportunities, engage lost customers, and win new business. Pay: Base Salary of $65,000-$75,000 + Commission

Responsibilities:

What You'll Do

• Prospect and develop new customer relationships through outbound sales efforts
• Make 30-50+ outbound calls daily to identify rental opportunities
• Generate new business and reactivate inactive accounts
• Promote additional equipment, products, and services to increase customer accounts
• Manage inbound web and media-generated leads
• Maintain accurate customer, lead, and opportunity records in CRM
• Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction and identify future rental needs
• Research upcoming construction projects and market opportunities
• Collaborate with the sales team to achieve growth goals
• Attend trade shows and Association networking events.
• Build strong customer relationships through outstanding service and problem-solving

Qualifications:

What We're Looking For

• Previous inside sales, outside sales, business development, or customer-facing sales experience
• Strong communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills
• Self-starter with a competitive, results-driven mindset
• Proficiency with CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and general computer applications
• Construction, equipment rental, or related industry knowledge is a plus
• Valid driver’s license
• Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience
