Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute strategic business development plans to grow market share within the North American defense sector
- Build, manage, and expand relationships with existing customers while identifying and pursuing new business opportunities
- Analyze market segments to identify trends, customer needs, and emerging opportunities across relevant defense domains
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with prime contractors, system integrators, and government stakeholders
- Collaborate with leadership to define and implement go-to-market strategies and account growth plans
- Lead the full sales lifecycle, including opportunity identification, qualification, proposal development, and contract negotiation
- Support and contribute to technical proposals, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and program objectives
- Maintain accurate pipeline tracking and reporting using CRM tools
- Represent the organization at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings
Required Qualifications- Bachelors degree in Engineering or a related technical field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in government or defense-related sales
- Proven success selling complex hardware and/or software solutions into defense markets
- Strong understanding of C5ISR, radar systems, embedded computing, or mission processing technologies
- Experience working with major defense primes and system integrators
- Familiarity with U.S. government procurement and acquisition processes
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex sales cycles and develop winning proposals
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Proficiency with CRM systems and sales pipeline management
Preferred Qualifications- Prior military experience or direct exposure to defense operations
- Experience with complex systems integration or advanced technical solution selling
- Formal sales training or certifications in complex/consultative selling methodologies
- Existing network within the defense and aerospace industry
