Business Development Specialist
= Location: Baltimore, MD 21231 (Point Street)
=R Duration: 12 Months (Contract)
= Schedule: Full-Time (40 hours/week)
= Pay Rate: $38/hr
Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Business Development Specialist to support pricing, contracting, and customer data management activities within a dynamic energy-focused environment.
This role works closely with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate data handling, support sales operations, and maintain compliance with utility requirements. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced setting, communicates effectively, and demonstrates strong analytical and organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate pricing and contracting activities in support of the sales team
- Maintain and update customer data with a high degree of accuracy
- Ensure compliance with utility requirements and internal processes
- Provide technical and operational support to internal stakeholders
- Communicate clearly and professionally via email and phone
- Support CRM data management and reporting efforts
- Handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism
Required Qualifications
- Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Experience with PayClearly (required)
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the energy or utilities industry
- Familiarity with Salesforce or other CRM systems
- Bachelor's degree (preferred, not required)
- Experience supporting sales, pricing, or contracting functions
Work Environment
- Full-time role based in Providence, RI
