As we continue to expand our reach, we're looking to hire an experienced and results-driven Business Development Specialist to lead business development efforts and drive sustainable growth.Position Overview: This role is ideal for a self-motivated, client-focused professional with a strong background in outside sales and service-based selling. As a Business Development Specialist, you will function as both a hunter and account manager, responsible for generating new business opportunities, managing existing client relationships, and acting as a liaison between clients and internal operations.This is not a product sales role; this is all about selling services and solutions in the electrical contracting space. You will be the face of our client in the field, meeting with clients, understanding their needs, and positioning our client's capabilities as the best solution.ResponsibilitiesLead Generation & Prospecting: Identify and target prospective GC's, Businesses, and Property Groups in the commercial, industrial, and institutional sectorsDevelop and maintain a strong sales pipeline across NCConduct market research to stay current with industry trends and competitor offeringsClient Relationship Management: Build and maintain long-term relationships with new and existing clientsUnderstand client needs and create tailored solutions to meet their electrical service requirementsServe as a point of contact to ensure high satisfaction and service deliverySales Presentations & Proposals: Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations to prospective clientsDevelop detailed proposals, including project timelines and pricingNegotiate terms, close deals, and manage expectations post-saleProject & Account Coordination: Work closely with Budget & Estimating, and Leadership team to ensure smooth project deliveryAddress client concerns quickly and professionally throughout the project lifecycleReporting & Strategic Planning: Track and report on sales activities, client interactions, and project progressMeet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targetsProvide insight and recommendations to leadership based on client and market feedbackCollaboration & Development: Develop effective sales campaigns and promotional strategiesShare best practices and support the professional growth of fellow team membersStay informed on compliance standards and industry regulations affecting the electrical contracting fieldWho You AreA relationship-driven professional who thrives in a field-based sales roleA proven closer with experience selling services (not products), especially in the electrical, mechanical, or construction sectorsA strategic thinker with a client-first mentality and strong business acumenA self-starter who is comfortable working independently while staying aligned with company goalsHighly organized, detail-oriented, and an excellent communicatorQualifications3+ years of B2B outside sales, account executive, or relationship management experienceBackground in electrical contracting, construction, or facilities management is a strong plusFamiliarity with the Raleigh, NC market and surrounding regionsProficient in CRM systems and Microsoft Office SuiteValid driver's license and reliable transportationSeniority levelNot ApplicableEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionBusiness Development and SalesIndustriesSoftware Development#J-18808-Ljbffr
