Business Education Teacher (Grades 7–12)

Position Summary
We are seeking a qualified and passionate Business Education Teacher to provide instruction to students in grades 7–12 in Manitowoc, Wisconsin. Under general supervision, the teacher will create a positive and engaging learning environment that promotes academic achievement, career readiness, and personal growth while delivering Business Education curriculum aligned with district standards.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Teach Business Education courses to students in grades 7–12.
Develop and implement instructional plans that support district curriculum objectives.
Assess student learning and provide regular feedback, progress reports, and evaluations.
Utilize instructional technology, business software, and classroom resources to enhance learning.
Demonstrate and teach the proper use of computer equipment, business machines, and related technology.
Establish and maintain a safe, orderly, and productive classroom environment.
Promote positive student behavior and citizenship.
Communicate effectively with parents, counselors, administrators, and other staff regarding student progress.
Maintain inventory and proper use of school-owned materials and equipment.
Participate in professional development and district-required training.
Support school-wide activities and student supervision as assigned.
Maintain confidentiality of student information and adhere to all district policies and procedures.
Attend to the safety and well-being of all students at all times.
Qualifications
Required
Bachelor's degree with all coursework required for teacher certification.
Valid Wisconsin teaching license appropriate for assigned grade levels and subject area.
Student teaching, internship, or previous teaching experience.
Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.
Ability to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
Preferred
Previous experience teaching Business Education at the middle or high school level.
Experience integrating technology into classroom instruction.
Knowledge of business applications, career readiness, entrepreneurship, and financial literacy concepts.
Compensation & Benefits
