The Deerfield Community School District is seeking a highly qualified full time (1.0 FTE) Business Education Teacher for grades 8-12 beginning in the 2026-2027 school year. The candidate should possess the ability to develop the business program and create an interactive and supporting learning environment, utilizing innovative teacher methods and fostering a passion for business and entrepreneurship. Current High School course offerings include: Accounting, Introduction to Law, Business Marketing, Microsoft Business Applications, Personal Finance and College and Career Readiness. We offer a general business class to grade 8. We have a new FBLA chapter we would love to continue! Other coaching and co-curricular opportunities may be available.
Qualifications include:
Strong desire to support and nurture children
Frequent and effective communication with students, staff, and families
Familiarity with state standards in all relevant subject area disciplines
Understand the use of technologies that can personalize learning for students and enhance critical thinking
A positive approach to problem solving, collaboration, teamwork, and respect
Wisconsin DPI certification #0250 Business Education, #0281 Business and Office, and/or #285 Marketing Education or ability to obtain
Our high school schedule allows teachers ample time to include project based learning for students as part of their curriculum. All students are equipped with one-to-one Chromebook technology and our district uses Canvas for cohesive learning management between the teacher and students. Small class sizes allow for easy collaboration and relationship building in a culture of high learning expectations.
