Palmyra-Eagle Middle School/High School is seeking an innovative and versatile educator for a unique hybrid position. It is a full-time 1.0 FTE position that combines Middle/High School Business Education teaching duties (0.60 FTE) with additional district-wide responsibilities in Community Education and Recreation programming (0.40 FTE). The ideal candidate will split their time between delivering high-quality business/CTE instruction, program development, and supporting Community Education and Recreation programming.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Business Education Instruction and CTE Program Development (0.60 FTE)
  • Plan, deliver, and assess engaging, real-world curriculum for middle and high school business courses (e.g., Personal Finance, Panther Printing, Introduction to Business, Middle School Exploratory Business).
  • Foster a classroom environment that emphasizes critical thinking, collaboration, and career readiness.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of all students.
  • Evaluate and modernize the Business/CTE curriculum to align with current industry standards and student interests.
  • Promote the Business Education program to increase student enrollment and engagement at the Middle and high school levels.
  • Oversee and Facilitate the Youth Apprenticeship Program in the PEASD.
  • Support Academic and Career Planning (ACP) across the Palmyra-Eagle MS/HS.
  • Explore, develop, and expand local community partnerships, work-based learning opportunities, and Career and Technical Student Organizations (FBLA or DECA).
  1. Community Education and Recreation Programming (0.40 FTE)
  • Serve as a district-level resource for Community Education and Recreation programming
  • Develop partnerships to promote Community Education and Recreation programming in the PEASD
  • Facilitate communication around Community Education and Recreation programming in the PEASD to stakeholders

  • Knowledge of current teaching methodologies and educational trends.
