Wells Fargo is seeking an AI Project Manager to support strategic AI-enabled Communications Surveillance initiatives within the Communications Surveillance Group, reporting to the Head of Data and AI Program.
This role will provide hands-on project management support for the Communications Surveillance Group (CSG) AI initiatives and related transformation efforts. The successful candidate will drive day-to-day execution across multiple workstreams, maintain governance and reporting routines, coordinate stakeholders, and ensure commitments are delivered on schedule.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of independently driving execution in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. This role is responsible for bringing structure, accountability, and transparency to complex cross-functional initiatives involving Business, Compliance, Technology, Data Science, Operations, Risk, and Control partners.
This is a hybrid role with in-office expectations.
In this role, you will:
Program Management & Execution
• Serve as the primary project management resource supporting the Head of Data and AI Program across CSG AI initiatives and associated strategic priorities.
• Develop and maintain integrated project plans, implementation schedules, milestone trackers, and delivery roadmaps.
• Coordinate activities across multiple workstreams to ensure alignment against strategic objectives and delivery timelines.
• Drive accountability for project commitments and follow up with stakeholders to ensure timely completion of deliverables.
• Identify execution risks, bottlenecks, and dependencies and escalate issues appropriately.
• Track and report project progress against established milestones and target dates.
Governance & Meeting Management
• Organize and facilitate project governance routines including working groups, leadership reviews, and status meetings.
• Develop agendas and ensure meetings result in clear decisions, ownership, and next steps.
• Capture detailed and accurate meeting minutes, decisions, risks, and action items.
• Distribute meeting summaries and maintain centralized records of project activities and decisions.
• Track open actions through completion and provide regular status updates to leadership.
RAID Management
• Establish and maintain comprehensive RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) logs.
• Proactively identify emerging risks and coordinate mitigation activities with stakeholders.
• Track dependency management across Business, Compliance, Technology, Operations, and Data Science teams.
• Escalate material issues and impediments that may impact delivery timelines or program objectives.
Reporting & Executive Communications
• Prepare executive status reports, dashboards, presentations, and management updates.
• Consolidate updates from stakeholders and produce clear, concise communications regarding project health and delivery progress.
• Maintain project metrics and key performance indicators to support leadership decision making.
• Support preparation of materials for executive forums, governance committees, regulatory reviews, and stakeholder meetings.
Stakeholder Coordination
• Coordinate activities across Compliance, Technology, Data Science, Operations, Regulatory, Risk, and Business teams.
• Facilitate collaboration and communication between stakeholders to drive alignment and execution.
• Maintain strong relationships across partner organizations while effectively influencing outcomes and delivery commitments.
• Support project intake, prioritization, planning, and implementation activities.
Program Documentation & Controls
• Maintain project documentation, governance artifacts, decision logs, action registers, and project repositories.
• Ensure documentation is current, accurate, and organized for audit, regulatory, and management review purposes.
• Support maintenance of implementation plans, operating procedures, process documentation, inventories, and reporting materials.
• Coordinate documentation required for governance, risk management, and control processes.
Required Qualifications
• 5+ years of Business Execution, Project Management, PMO, Strategic Planning, Implementation, or related experience.
• Demonstrated experience leading or supporting large-scale cross-functional programs.
• Experience managing multiple concurrent initiatives with competing priorities and deadlines.
• Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
• Proven ability to drive accountability and follow through on commitments.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Desired Qualifications
• 5+ years of project management experience within Financial Services, Compliance, Risk, Technology, Data, Surveillance, or Regulatory organizations.
• Experience supporting complex enterprise transformation programs.

• Experience with project management and collaboration tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, Smartsheet, Tableau, or Power BI.
