The Business Insights Analyst partners with leaders across Operations, Marketing, Sales, Finance, Insurance, and other business functions to help solve business challenges and support data-informed decision-making. This role gathers and analyzes information from multiple sources, identifies trends and opportunities, and develops practical recommendations that drive business results.
Success is not defined by expertise in a specific tool or analytical discipline. We are seeking someone who is curious, hardworking, dependable, and willing to take ownership of problems from initial question through recommended solution. This role supports a broad range of work, including business analysis, reporting, forecasting, performance management, process improvement, and strategic projects.

Responsibilities :
Business Analysis & Problem Solving
- Investigate business questions by gathering, sourcing, validating, and interpreting data from multiple sources.
- Identify trends, risks, opportunities, and key drivers that affect business performance.
- Turn loosely defined questions into structured analyses, practical recommendations, and potential solutions.
- Evaluate the effectiveness and impact of business initiatives and operational changes.
Reporting & Insights
- Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, scorecards, and visualizations that support business objectives.
- Translate data and findings into clear, actionable insights for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Support recurring and ad hoc analytical requests across multiple business functions.
Business Partnership
- Partner with stakeholders to understand business needs, clarify questions, and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Support strategic initiatives through research, analysis, and solution-oriented recommendations.
- Communicate findings clearly and adjust the level of detail for stakeholders and leadership.
Planning, Performance & Continuous Improvement
- Support forecasting, performance monitoring, and business planning activities.
- Monitor results and help develop measures that support organizational objectives.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, reporting, data quality, and access to business information.
Additional Responsibilities
- Contribute to departmental projects and shared team priorities.
- Support evaluation and adoption of new tools, analytical capabilities, and process improvements.
- Share knowledge and analytical best practices within the team.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Analytics, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Demonstrated ability to read, source, organize, and interpret data to answer business questions.
- Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a solution-oriented mindset.
- Strong work ethic, initiative, follow-through, and willingness to learn.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and adapt to changing business needs.
Preferred, Not Required:
- Experience creating reports, dashboards, analyses, or visualizations to support decision-making.
- Exposure to Excel, Power BI, Looker, Tableau, SQL, databases, forecasting, financial analysis, or similar tools and methods.
- Experience supporting business, operational, sales, marketing, financial, healthcare, retail, or multi-location initiatives.
The successful candidate will be:
- Approaches unfamiliar questions with curiosity and persistence.
- Takes ownership and follows challenges through to a useful outcome.
- Learn new business areas and tools without requiring a complete skill set on day one.
Target Salary: 75 - 85k plus Bonus
Work Location: Hybrid schedule in Somerset, NJ - Must currently reside within commuting distance.
