Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, teaching marketing and related business courses in both traditional classroom and online formats. The instructor will create an engaging and inclusive learning environment while connecting course material to real-world applications. This role also includes developing and updating course content, evaluating student performance, and supporting overall student success. Other responsibilities include:

  • Preparing and delivering course materials, including syllabi and instructional content
  • Maintaining accurate records and submitting reports on time
  • Advising students and contributing to recruitment and job placement efforts
  • Participating in course updates and program development
  • Holding regular office hours and being available to support students
  • Working collaboratively with faculty, leadership, and staff across the college
  • Participating in committees and other college or community activities
  • Staying current in the field through ongoing professional development

This position requires someone comfortable working in an environment where technology and instructional methods continue to evolve.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

This position requires a Master of Business Administration (MBA) or a master's degree with a minimum of 18 graduate semester credit hours in Marketing.

Preferred Qualifications

The ideal candidate has a strong background in marketing and an interest in teaching and supporting students. A minimum of two (2) years of teaching experience at the secondary and/or post-secondary level is preferred, along with experience teaching marketing courses.

Professional experience in marketing or a related business field is also highly valued. Experience using a learning management system, such as D2L, and teaching in online or hybrid formats is a plus.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills are important, along with the ability to stay organized, work collaboratively, and adapt to changing technology and instructional needs. A commitment to student success and ongoing professional development is expected.
