Position Description The position of Business Department Instructor part-time will provide class instruction for our students in various business disciplines, business certificate areas, and general business curriculum.

Job Duties

  1. Teach hybrid, online, and/or multiple CCSF instructional sites in one or more of the following areas:

    • Accounting
    • Business Administration
    • Marketing
    • Supervision and Management
    • Computer Applications
    • Microsoft Office 365

    • Perform duties associated with instructing and assessing student progress, including but not limited to grading, entry of student learning outcomes, required record keeping, etc.
    • May participate in departmental functions such as staff meetings, committee work, faculty evaluations, curriculum development, student learning outcomes (SLOs) development and assessment, and others.
    • Teach in-person day, evening, and/or Saturday classes at any of the Colleges campuses as required.
    • Support and engage in an innovative culture of culturally responsive, inclusive, and anti-racist practices as it relates to student success with an awareness of student equity gaps. Participate in required department, division, and school meetings, professional development sessions, trainings, and Flex Days.
    • Participate in ongoing training on diversity, equity, inclusion, and anti-racist pedagogy.
    • Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
    • Minimum Qualifications

      Accounting

      1. Demonstrated knowledge, skills, and abilities to work with community college students with diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, sexual orientations, disabilities, and ethnic backgrounds. (Required)
      2. One of the following:

        • Earned Masters Degree in Accountancy or Business Administration with Accounting concentration from an accredited institution OR THE EQUIVALENT.
        • Earned Bachelors Degree in Business with Accounting emphasis or Business Administration with Accounting emphasis or Economics with an Accounting emphasis from an accredited institution AND earned Masters Degree in Business, Business Administration, Business Education, Economics, Taxation, or Finance from an accredited institution OR THE EQUIVALENT.
        • Earned Bachelors Degree in Accountancy or Business Administration with Accountancy concentration from an accredited institution with a valid CPA license (must be valid in California) OR THE EQUIVALENT.
        • Hold a fully-satisfied LIFE California Community College Instructor Credential in Accounting. (Note: California credentials were no longer issued after July 1, 1990.)
