What You'll Do

As a Business Intake Coordinator, you will play a critical role in supporting the Firm's risk management and business intake processes, ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of client and matter information across the organization.

In This Role, You Will

• Review all requests submitted for conflicts searching/to update matter records (new clients/new matters, revisions, securities searches. This includes being responsible for collection of background information, clarifying points for downstream teams, and confirming/communicating deadlines.
• Work with specialists, analysts, and other team members to address time sensitive issues for routine pre-engagement, large litigation, and restructuring related matters.
• Serve as the public face of New Business and Conflicts. Answer the Business Intake Conflicts phone line and handle questions and/or refer as appropriate.
• Responsible for follow-up and processing of all intake requests pending action by an approver, submitter, or submitting attorney to ensure compliance.
• Assist with processing new client and new matter forms and amending requests for clarity, completeness, and additional parties when needed.
• Work with technology, systems, and Risk teams to ensure ethical walls and screens are properly updated to facilitate appropriate access for the Firm's employees and contractors
• Responsible for directing unidentifiable materials and calls to the appropriate positions or department while demonstrating high levels of professionalism and sensitivity.
• Be part of a rotation that provides after-hours and weekend coverage.
• Special projects as assigned.

What You'll Bring

• A bachelor's degree is required.
• Two to three years of experience in risk, research, reference library work, conflicts searching, or related experience is preferred.
• A desire to work in a flexible environment with an ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities is a must.
• The ideal candidate must interact well with people at all levels with a high degree of accuracy, confidentiality, and professionalism.

Compensation

The base salary range below represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position in each of the below locations. This range may differ based on your geographic location and cost of living considerations. At Kirkland & Ellis, we consider compensation more than just a base salary. Compensation Range:

Chicago: $67,000 - $75,000

New York: $67,000 - $92,000

Los Angeles: $67,000 - $92,000

Washington D.C.: $67,000 - $92,000
