POSITION: Business Intelligence Analyst (In Office Position)

LOCATION: South Jordan, Utah

COMPENSATION: Base salary $90,000 - $125,000 depending on education and experience. Comprehensive benefit package and short-term incentive program are also provided.

RESPONSIBILITY:

This is an intermediate to senior level position. Manage the Association’s data lifecycle: collection, transformation, and interpretation while upholding data governance standards ensuring accuracy and security. Deliver actionable reporting solutions, including dashboards, reports, extracts, and curated datasets. Assist with modernization initiatives to evolve the Association’s data infrastructure and analytics capabilities.

  • Reporting: Develop high-impact reports to internal/external stakeholders.
  • Data Integrity: Engineer robust data preparation and validation protocols to ensure reporting accuracy, compliance, and audit readiness.
  • BI Development: Architect and maintain sophisticated business intelligence solutions. Assist in the development of advanced analytical models.
  • Decision Support: Provide ad-hoc analysis and curated datasets to empower executive leadership with data-driven insights to inform decision-making.
  • Modernization: Play a central role in our ongoing strategy to modernize and expand reporting and data capabilities.
  • Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams to streamline data collection and advance the mission.
  • Technical Documentation: Author comprehensive documentation for data projects.
  • Systems Evolution: Identify development needs to streamline operations and maximize organizational efficiency.
  • Data Governance: Serve as primary steward for data standards, ensuring consistency, security, and compliance across all Association platforms.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in: Data Analytics/Management, Information Systems, Computer Science/Programming, Business, Statistics, Economics, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 5+ years (7-10 years strongly preferred) of professional experience in business intelligence, data analysis, and report generation.
  • Highly proficient (5+ years) in MS SQL and a working knowledge of SSMS.
  • Experience utilizing automation/AI to improve enterprise efficiency.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, Power BI/Automate, Power BI Report Writer, and Adobe (or equivalent technologies).
  • Experience with cloud-based data technologies/mining, and advanced analytics.
  • Analytical/problem-solving mindset with the ability to interpret complex data and derive meaningful conclusions.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a strong capacity for collaboration.
  • Ability to learn and integrate complex business policies and evolving regulations into workflows.
  • Meticulous and detail-oriented approach to all aspects of data management and reporting.
  • Competent to work independently in most phases of database management with strong understanding of the administration of data collection, analysis, and distribution/reporting.
  • Ability to lift 40 pounds or more.

Preferred:

  • Proven experience implementing enterprise-level AI solutions to address unique business challenges.
  • Industry experience in Finance, Accounting, or Agriculture.
  • Advanced proficiency in spreadsheet-based modeling.
  • Experience with Synapse Analytics, Databricks, Azure Data Factory, or similar technology with knowledge of MS Access.
  • Experience building reporting solutions in Microsoft Azure.
  • Experience using PySpark for ELT.
  • Some experience with JavaScript/TypeScript or similar programing languages.
