Position Summary

Our client is seeking a Business Intelligence & Data Manager to lead enterprise data strategy, analytics, business intelligence, and data governance initiatives within a growing financial services organization. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring the organization leverages accurate, trusted, and accessible data to drive business decisions, operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and strategic growth.

The ideal candidate is a data-driven leader with experience building modern data platforms, developing business intelligence capabilities, and leading high-performing analytics teams. This individual will play a critical role in advancing the organization's data maturity, enabling AI-ready data practices, and partnering with stakeholders across the business to deliver actionable insights and innovative solutions.

 

What You'll Do

• Lead the organization's enterprise data strategy, governance framework, and business intelligence initiatives.
• Develop and maintain the roadmap for data architecture, data integration, warehousing, and analytics platforms.
• Oversee data ingestion, transformation, integration, and reporting processes to ensure data accuracy and accessibility.
• Drive the development of business intelligence solutions, dashboards, KPIs, and executive reporting capabilities.
• Deliver actionable insights that support operational improvements, strategic initiatives, and business growth.
• Establish and maintain data governance standards, including metadata management, data lineage, quality controls, and user access protocols.
• Promote enterprise-wide adoption of data governance best practices and data stewardship principles.
• Ensure data platforms and governance practices support current and future AI and machine learning initiatives.
• Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to identify opportunities for automation, advanced analytics, and AI-enabled insights.
• Support the lifecycle management of analytical and predictive models, including governance, monitoring, and performance validation.
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of business intelligence, analytics, and data professionals.
• Partner with Finance, Operations, Compliance, Marketing, Lending, Technology, and executive leadership teams to develop data-driven solutions.
• Establish service levels, operational procedures, documentation standards, and reporting processes for data and analytics functions.
• Track project performance, business outcomes, and return on investment for analytics initiatives.
• Monitor emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices related to data management, analytics, and artificial intelligence.
• Support audit processes, risk management initiatives, and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Participate in strategic planning activities and help shape the long-term vision for enterprise data and analytics capabilities.

 

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business, Finance, Mathematics, or a related field.
• 5-7+ years of progressive experience in data management, analytics, business intelligence, or related disciplines.
• 5+ years of leadership experience managing data, analytics, business intelligence, or technology teams.
• Strong understanding of enterprise data strategy, data governance, data quality, and analytics best practices.
• Experience designing, implementing, or supporting modern data architectures, including data warehouses, data lakes, and lakehouse environments.
• Proficiency with SQL, Python, and business intelligence platforms such as Power BI.
• Experience developing and supporting ETL/ELT processes and data integration frameworks.
• Strong understanding of reporting, dashboard development, KPI management, and self-service analytics solutions.
• Experience establishing or enhancing enterprise data governance frameworks.
• Knowledge of cloud-based data and analytics platforms.
• Understanding of AI, machine learning, and data readiness requirements that support future AI initiatives.
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business-friendly recommendations and insights.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, project management, and decision-making capabilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working within regulated industries, financial services, banking, or similar environments preferred.
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance, privacy standards, data management controls, and risk management practices.
• Experience supporting audit activities and remediation efforts is a plus.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and drive organizational change through data and analytics.
