If so, the Transportation Operations Management (TOM) Central Program Data Infrastructure team is the place for you. We are building the world's fastest, most reliable, and lowest-cost transportation network-giving customers greater control and visibility-and we are looking for a top-notch Senior Business Intelligence Engineer to help lead this mission.

As a Business Intelligence Engineer, you operate within one of the world's most complex data environments, owning the design and evolution of scalable, high-impact, and AI-ready data infrastructure.

You bring deep expertise in data modeling and large-scale dataset design, building reliable, well-governed data foundations that support both analytics and AI/ML use cases. You partner with business and technical leaders to define ambiguous problem spaces, shape key business questions, and drive AI-enabled insights that improve TOM Operations efficiency, automation, and decision-making.

You lead the development of robust, scalable, and cost-efficient data pipelines, ensuring high data quality, accessibility, and operational excellence across the end-to-end data lifecycle. You continuously evolve data systems to better support AI-driven analytics and insight generation, enabling faster and smarter business decisions.

Above all, you are passionate about transforming data into intelligence-driving AI-enabled insights that power operational excellence and data-informed decisions across the organization.

Key job responsibilities

  • Own and build scalable, automated reporting and analytics solutions, enabling self-service insights across TOM Operations.
  • Develop AI-ready data models and datasets, driving AI-enabled insights to improve operational efficiency and decision-making.
  • Partner with business and technical stakeholders to translate ambiguous problems into data-driven solutions and influence strategy.
  • Design and optimize robust, cost-efficient data pipelines and metrics frameworks, ensuring data quality and reliability.
  • Build and evolve business-critical dashboards and KPIs, raising the bar on insight quality and usability.
  • Drive process simplification and automation, including leveraging AI to accelerate insight generation and reduce manual effort.

TOM Central Programs serves as the connective tissue between TOM Operations and partner organizations, enabling operational excellence through strategic support across program excellence & analytics, learning & development, data infrastructure, automation implementation, integration, and security. We own these programs from end to end, anticipating bottlenecks, resolving blockers, managing escalations and balancing business needs versus technical constraints.
