    Río Hondo College welcomes and embraces all students in their educational and

    Basic Function/Definition

    This is a continuous recruitment to fill part-time, temporary, hourly assignments on an

    as-needed basis. Departments or divisions will refer to the pool of applicants on file

    to fill temporary assignments as needed. You will be contacted by the hiring manager

    should the department or division be interested in scheduling an interview.

    Essential Duties Minimum Qualifications

    Master's degree in business management, business administration, accountancy, finance, marketing, or business education

    OR

    Bachelor's degree in any of the above AND Master's degree in economics, personnel management, public administration, or J.D. or LL.B. degree

    OR

    Bachelor's degree in economics with a business emphasis AND Master's degree in personnel management, public administration, or J.D. or LL.B. degree

    OR

    the equivalency.

    AND

    Demonstrate a sensitivity to, and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.

    Equivalencies

    J.D. or LL.B

    OR a Master's degree in a business related area

    OR a Bachelor's degree in business or related area AND a combination of successfully completed coursework, totaling at least twelve (12) units at the upper division level and twelve (12) units at the graduate level in the area in which the equivalency is requested, PLUS evidence of experience in a business or related area.

    Responsibilities

    Assignment may include teaching courses as assigned during day and evening hours.

    Have a commitment to professional excellence and continuous growth in the fields of teaching.

    Other professional responsibilities and activities normally expected of members of community college faculty as described by Board Policies and the California Education code.

    Foreign Degrees

    Any degree from a country other than the United States, including Canada and Great Britain, must be evaluated by an Evaluation Service prior to the closing date. Certification must be attached with copies of transcripts.
