Job Description:
TNT Fireworks is looking for a highly motivated individual for a summer internship in multiple locations across the US. The summer associate will have great exposure to a broad range of logistics functions throughout the organization. S/he will assist in making strategic decisions to drive cost performance and maximize efficiency.
Some of the primary duties include:
Review cost-effective opportunities to deliver via TNT drivers.
Interact with Marketing and Sales to manage and coordinate delivery dates/times.
Track and update LTL shipments, to ensure timely deliveries.
Analyze and develop routes for drivers to optimize driving time/distance.
Help with driver recruitment and qualification.
Help coordinate driver training and availability.
Track weekly delivery expenses and record them.
Help develop metrics to track performance.
Secondary Duties:
Learn and assist in processing shipping documents.
Assist warehouse supervisors with all operations processes: receiving, shipping, production, etc.
Contact stores regarding scheduled.
Qualifications:
Business Management, Business Administration, or Logistics/Supply Chain major preferred.
Proficient with Excel.
Strong work ethic in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent verbal communication skills.
Transportation will be required
