Position Summary
Help fulfill the university's mission by teaching students and providing general business content expertise in one or more of the following areas: business law, human resources, business strategy, organizational leadership, artificial intelligence in business, business communication or other course subjects that contribute to the Business Management department curriculum. Additional responsibilities include advising students and other department and university assignments.
Throughout their careers, all BYU-Idaho faculty are expected to actively pursue professional development opportunities in learning and teaching and ongoing scholarly development within
their discipline.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
Advanced degree (master's or doctorate) in Business or a related field is required, along with professional or industry experience in one or more of the following areas:
Business law
Human resources
Business strategy
Organizational leadership
Artificial intelligence in business
Business communication
Other business management-related fields
Applicants must demonstrate a commitment to and potential for excellence in teaching.
Work Schedule
VISITING FACULTY: This is a one-year contract, renewable for up to three academic years in total.
Visiting faculty members teach 36-39 load hours annually, across Fall, Winter, and Spring Semesters. In the days immediately preceding and following semesters, faculty members attend meetings, grade papers, perform professional development activities, etc. Semesters last approximately 14 weeks, and annual faculty contracts cover 47.5 weeks.
