Position Description
The primary role of faculty is to serve as facilitators of student learning. Faculty enhance the learning process through educational and discipline specific professional development activities. Faculty advance the institution through participation in college, professional, and community activities.
This faculty member will teach courses in the Business Program and the associated concentrations within the major. These courses focus on the fundamentals of business, topics include areas such as management, marketing, finance, accounting and human resources. Topics taught vary on instructor knowledge and fit within the department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
FACILITATOR OF STUDENT LEARNING: The teaching and learning process is a partnership promoting the exchange of knowledge and experience between teacher and student. This process provides meaningful learning experiences enabling learners to develop their ability to solve problems, think critically and creatively, and communicate effectively while developing marketable technical skills. Qualifications
A minimum of a bachelor's degree and 3 years full time related work experience in the field is required.
An advanced degree in Business is a beneficial but not requirement for consideration. Absent the master's degree, the faculty member will be required to develop and follow a plan to earn a master's degree as part of their ongoing education and professional development.
Prior teaching experience, especially at the 2-year College level, is beneficial but not required
