Job Title: Business Manager- Operations

Salary: $120k - $150k + bonus
Summary:
This is an exciting opportunity to join a newly established Business Management team at a leading global trading firm, where you will play a key role in driving the rollout of new trading initiatives across the Americas region. Working closely with trading, operations, compliance, technology, and external counterparties, you will help coordinate due diligence efforts, oversee new business processes, and ensure the successful launch and onboarding of new products, traders, and trading venues. The ideal candidate will have strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills, along with the ability to navigate complex operational workflows in a fast-paced trading environment while partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver strategic business initiatives.
In this role you will be responsible for:
- Lead the assessment, coordination, and implementation of new trading initiatives and trading access changes, including the onboarding and decommissioning of traders, exchanges, products, execution platforms, clearing firms, and counterparties.
- Serve as the central point of coordination between trading, operations, technology, risk, compliance, legal, treasury, finance, and external partners to ensure seamless execution and transparency throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage onboarding processes for new products, trading venues, execution systems, clearing relationships, and counterparty setups, ensuring all operational, regulatory, and business requirements are met.
- Support and maintain exchange relationships, including new exchange onboarding, product launches, market structure initiatives, and rebate/incentive programs.
- Act as a primary point of contact for traders, providing support and guidance on business initiatives, trading access, and operational workflows.
- Drive multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment while ensuring strong communication, organization, and timely delivery.
The ideal candidate should have the following qualifications and skills:
- 5-10 years of experience within a trading environment, such as business management, trading operations, middle office, risk, compliance, project management, client service, or business analysis.
- Strong project management skills with a track record of successfully delivering complex cross-functional initiatives.
- Experience partnering directly with traders and collaborating with teams across multiple regions, including North America, Europe, and Asia.
- Solid understanding of the regulatory, legal, risk, treasury, capital, tax, and operational considerations involved in launching new business initiatives.
- Knowledge of multiple asset classes, including equities, fixed income, futures, and options markets.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and coordinate both internal and external partners.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Demonstrated success in fast-paced, dynamic environments with frequently changing priorities and tight timelines.
- Quick learner with the ability to grasp new products, technologies, market structures, and industry terminology.
- Self-starter with a strong sense of ownership, urgency, and follow-through.
