BUSINESS OFFICE ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
Work Year: July 1-June 30

Reports to: Business Manager/CSBO
Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

Receptionist:
  • Operate the main telephone console for the DAOES office, manage communications and ensure inquiries are directed appropriately
  • Greet visitors, respond to phone calls, mail and general inquiries in a professional and welcoming manner
Accounting Assistant:
  • Assist with all aspects of the accounting department, primarily with accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing and collections
  • Backup the Payroll and Benefits Coordinator
  • Preparation of monthly sales tax report for payment, Board and accounting reports
  • Maintains and process Student Activities accounts
  • Assist with the mid-year and annual audit
  • Reconciliations
  • Prepare and deliver bank deposits to bank
  • Work with high school districts and maintain accurate records of students on waivers
  • Other duties as assigned
Human Resources:
  • Employee onboarding and offboarding process, ensuring a smooth transition for both new and departing employees
  • Assist with hiring process; job postings, coordinate and schedule interviews, prepare new hire paperwork and prepare/maintain new hire files
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records in compliance with applicable laws, policies and procedures
  • Assist HR reporting as needed
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma required; associate's degree or a minimum of 1-3 years of experience in human resources, business administration, accounting or a related field preferred
  • Excellent communication, organized and public relation skills
  • Ability to maintain and convey a professional attitude and appearance
  • Knowledge of general office procedures and software
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Accounting and HR background highly recommended

    Benefits

    Salary range: $60-65k DOE
