Description

Summary:

Processes and enters charge information into the database. Completes billing process and distributes billing information. Verifies insurance benefits and assists with referrals. May prepare checks for deposits.

Responsibilities:

  • Meets expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
  • Ensures staff is qualified, trained, and motivated. Coaches and counsels as needed.
  • Ensures evaluations are done timely. Time and Attendance is maintained in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Conducts regular team meetings and ensures communication is positive.
  • Keeps boss, staff and peers informed.
  • Staff works accounts in a timely manner. Works with staff to remove barriers to production.
  • Ensures accuracy and thoroughness of accounts worked by staff.
  • Customer inquiries are responded to accurately, and thoroughly in a timely manner.
  • Refunds and adjustments (including bad debts) are approved accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Reports are prepared in a timely and accurate manner. Projects are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Uses initiative to identify and resolve problems.
  • Keeps abreast of changes in payer and collection regulations.
  • Develops, writes, and communicates P&Ps as needed.
  • Keeps abreast of changes in computer systems.

Job Requirements:

Education/Skills

  • High School diploma or equivalent years of experience required.

Experience

  • 5 – 7 years of experience preferred.

Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications

  • None required.

 

Work Schedule:

8AM - 5PM Monday-Friday
