The Panther Group is seeking a detail-oriented Business Operations Coordinator to support the Athletics & Recreation Department of a prestigious Boston-based university. This is an excellent opportunity for an administrative, finance, or business operations professional with Concur expense management experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced collegiate athletics environment.
This role will primarily focus on managing and coordinating procurement card (P-Card) expense reporting through Concur while supporting the day-to-day operations of the Athletic Business Office.
Key Responsibilities Concur & Procurement Card Administration
  • Review and reconcile procurement card transactions within Concur.
  • Monitor expense reports and notify managers when reports are ready for approval.
  • Support approximately 90 athletic department staff and coaches with procurement card reporting.
  • Educate and assist employees on best practices for preparing and submitting expense reports.
  • Ensure expense documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant with university policies.
Business Office Operations
  • Support daily operations of the Athletic Business Office.
  • Process expense reimbursements, account transfers, requisitions, and purchase orders.
  • Assist with contract administration and financial transaction processing.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
  • Support supplier onboarding activities within university financial systems.
  • Track purchasing activity, capital equipment, computer assets, and mobile device inventories.
  • Assist with budget reporting, financial reconciliations, and data collection.
  • Monitor travel-related expenses and ensure compliance with departmental policies and budget guidelines.
  • Support special projects and other business operations initiatives as assigned.
Qualifications Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Sports Management, or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience with Concur expense management.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred
  • Experience with Workday.
  • Prior experience supporting business, finance, accounting, or operations functions.
  • Understanding of financial processes, expense reporting, and procurement activities.
  • Interest in collegiate athletics and recreation.
