Description The Sales Planning and Compensation (SPC) team designs integrated sales planning processes and sales compensation programs to activate AWS' Go-To-Market (GTM) strategy. SPC manages annual planning, in-year adjustments, and sales compensation design to align seller incentives with AWS' strategic priorities. We are seeking an experienced Business Operations Manager to drive operational excellence across our organization. In this role, you will support strategic initiatives and build annual rhythms that enable critical programs for sales planning and compensation that impact sales teams globally. This role will establish the shared operational rhythms, project management practices, launch tracking, and goals reporting that add predictability and transparency across the organization - giving leadership a clear view of what we're delivering and whether we're on track. You will work across our teams to build visibility and create the connective tissue that enables our organization to manage a complex portfolio with confidence. Key job responsibilities Key Job Responsibilities - Drive execution of strategic planning and operational cadences for the Sales Planning & Compensation organization, including weekly/monthly business reviews, and launch tracking. - Build and maintain operational frameworks, governance models, and reporting that give leadership a clear view of organizational performance and launch readiness - Serve as the interface with SPC program teams to design and implement tools, workflows, and reporting frameworks that help teams move faster and make better decisions at scale - Own and manage complex operational problems, solving them through data analysis, stakeholder alignment, and clear action plans - Build and manage relationships with senior stakeholders across the organization, influencing without authority to drive alignment and achieve business outcomes - Partner with Sales, Finance, and Technology teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and automation A day in the life In this role, you will be responsible for driving the operational rhythms and project management practices that keep our Sales Planning & Compensation organization running on track. This includes managing business review cadences, maintaining goal tracking and launch readiness reporting, and coordinating across SPC program teams to ensure visibility into progress and priorities. You will flex between standing operational processes - such as weekly and monthly reviews - and ad hoc problem-solving when priorities shift or ambiguity arises. Your work will bring predictability and transparency to a complex portfolio of programs, enabling leadership and program teams to make faster, better-informed decisions. Basic Qualifications - Experience working within a high-growth, technology company - 5+ years of professional experience in business operations, program management, management consulting, or related field - Proven track record of building and improving operational processes and frameworks in fast-paced environments - Experience implementing and managing project management platforms (e.g., Asana, Jira, Smartsheet) to drive intake processes, workload visibility, and cross-team coordination - Experience driving cross-functional initiatives and delivering results through influence without direct authority Preferred Qualifications - MBA or advanced degree in a relevant field - Experience in sales operations, marketing operations, or go-to-market strategy within a technology company - Experience consolidating disparate project management and intake systems into unified frameworks - Experience supporting large-scale transformation initiatives with measurable business impact - Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience preparing materials for executive audiences Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
