Business Operations Specialist I
? Lafayette, IN (Preferred) or Mossville, IL

Are you a recent graduate or early-career professional looking to build experience in business operations, project coordination, data analysis, and program management? We are seeking a Business Operations Specialist I to support a growing portfolio of strategic sourcing and new product introduction initiatives within a global manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support portfolio management activities across more than 100 active projects.
  • Track project status, milestones, deadlines, budgets, and business metrics.
  • Assist with project documentation, reporting, and archiving of critical project data.
  • Prepare materials for portfolio reviews and leadership presentations.
  • Perform data mining, analysis, and reporting using Excel and Power BI.
  • Maintain and organize project communications and business records.
  • Review contracts, cost proposals, and supporting documentation.
  • Establish and document business processes and work breakdown structures.
  • Collaborate with engineers, project managers, strategy leaders, and cross-functional teams.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Economics, Finance, Human Resources, Organizational Leadership, Technology, Technical Communications, or a related field.
  • 0-2 years of professional experience (internship experience welcomed).
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and within a fast-paced team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using Power BI for data analysis and reporting.
  • Engineering, manufacturing, or technical project experience.
  • Ability to understand and communicate technical concepts.
  • Strong interest in project management and business operations.
