ASRC Federal Agile Management is seeking a Business Analyst III to support an upcoming DHS program. This position will require the Business Analyst to work onsite in Ashburn, VA.

Summary: Business Analyst III will play a critical role in delivering analytical support and strategic guidance within the organization. The individual will be responsible for applying common best practices to develop conceptual business models and identify key issues affecting operational efficiency. This role entails assessing the functional and operational baseline of the organization and formulating strategies that align IT operations with organizational goals. The Business Analyst III will engage in account strategy sessions, design reviews, and provide oversight into applications and software package selections.

The Business Analyst III will leverage their expertise to enhance enterprise applications and improve operational workflows across various functional areas including Human Resources, Finance, and Supply Chain. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving, as well as the ability to coordinate complex resolution strategies while ensuring the organizations needs are adequately addressed. Additionally, the role demands strong communication skills for effective collaboration with stakeholders and the ability to present findings and strategies clearly.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in applying common best practices for the industry to the customer using a knowledge base to create conceptual business models and identify relevant issues and considerations in selecting application software packages

  • Assess the operational and functional baseline of an organization and its organizational components and help to define the direction and strategy for an engagement while ensuring the organizational needs are being addressed.

  • Typical areas addressed include Human Resources, Finance, Supply, and operations.

  • Identify information technology inadequacies and/or deficiencies that affect the functional area's ability to support/meet organizational goals.

  • Generate functional area strategies for enhanced IT operations in a cross-functional area mode throughout the organization.

  • Participate in account strategy sessions, strategic assessments and design reviews to validate enterprise approach and associated work products, such as ERP implementations coordinating the resolution of highly complex problems and tasks.

  • Work on PSPD audits, Replays and Certified Records shall also be a notary officer.

  • Provide Directorate support to PSPD executive and Division management taskers related to PSPD, OIT, CBP, DHS, and other external reviews and data calls.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field) with 8 years of experience in IT support or a related field, preferably in a government or large organizational setting OR Master's degree with 6 years of relevant work experience.
  • Proven ability to analyze and interpret complex data and make data-driven recommendations.
  • Experience in strategic planning and process improvement in an enterprise environment.
  • Strong knowledge of industry best practices and methodologies for business analysis.
  • US Citizenship is required to successfully complete a government issued background investigation.
  • Successfully completing a government issued background investigation.

Desired Qualifications

  • Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP or CCBA) is preferred.
  • Additional certification in project management (e.g., PMP or PMI-ACP) is a plus.
  • Relevant certifications in specific industries or technologies may also be beneficial.
