General Function

The Business Relationship Analyst (BRA) is a member of the Business Operations Team located within the Information Technology Services (ITS) unit and reports to the Business Relationship Manager (BRM). The Business Relationship analyst is a vital link between business stakeholders, IT services, and product teams. This role combines elements of business relationship management and service delivery, ensuring that IT solutions align with business needs while maintaining high-quality service delivery. The analyst will work closely with project managers, product analysts, and IT teams to gather requirements, optimize IT service performance, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

This position will create a safe and inclusive working environment with respect for a diversity of backgrounds and ableness.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business units and IT leadership to understand strategic objectives and translate them into actionable IT initiatives

  • Maintains a broad understanding of industry trends and potential applications that may be leveraged to continually enhance the business relationship processes

  • Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and IT teams, ensuring clear communication of needs, priorities, and expectations.

  • Assist in developing IT roadmaps and strategies that align with business goals.

  • Conduct stakeholder analysis and maintain strong relationships with key business partners.

  • Facilitate requirements gathering workshops to define business needs for IT services and solutions.

  • Provide insights and recommendations based on business trends, IT capabilities, and service performance.

  • Assesses service requests to determine if they align with existing offerings in the Service Catalog and ensures proper categorization and routing for efficient resolution

  • Support IT Business Relationship processes, ensuring efficient incident resolution, request fulfillment, and continuous service improvements.

  • Work closely with IT operations and service desk teams to monitor service performance and resolve issues proactively.

  • Assist in defining and implementing service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs) for IT services.

  • Collaborate with business units to gather feedback on IT services, identify pain points, and recommend enhancements.

  • Participate in change management processes to ensure smooth deployment and adoption of IT solutions.

  • Document IT service processes and workflows, ensuring clarity and consistency across teams.

  • Work with project managers to support the successful execution of IT initiatives, tracking progress, risks, and dependencies.

  • Partner with product analysts to align IT service enhancements with product and platform developments.

Minimum Requirements and Preferred Qualifications

Associate's degree in Computer Science or IT related field

2 + years of relevant experience in IT or business

Excellent communication skills (oral and written)

ITIL v4 Foundation certification will be required within 9 months of hiring.
