8:00 am - 5:00 pm; Monday - Friday with occasional evening and weekend hours required, as necessary.
Primary Purpose of Position
This position provides budget and administrative support to the Department Chair, faculty, and staff in the MEES department. Duties include budget planning, reconciliation, and reporting for all University fund types. This position will set a budget plan with the Department Chair, direct spending by the department staff, and provide reports to the Chair for pending balances. The position approves expenses to ensure appropriate use of funds and balance available. BSC works with the College Business Officer to balance funds quarterly.
Minimum Education/Experience
Required Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related discipline; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

Event Expenses
Coordinating with BSC for HR to ensure personnel expenses including student wages, part time faculty, post docs, etc are properly budgeted
Assisting with start-up spending for new faculty;
Event/conference oversight which includes planning and online registrations/enrollments;
Updating spreadsheets for department funding
Work with College Business Officer on quarterly FRs to balance funds
Communicates detailed and complex information effectively to students, faculty, staff and the Chair
